Mark Z talked about Open Graph and the simple use of Graph API and Social Plugins at f8 to connect users with contents and other things – http://apps.facebook.com/feightlive/
Some questions related to privacy:
1. How will my friends respond if they know I “like” certain web sites and know that I know they “like” certain web site? How social “like” is too social?
2. So now facebook knows or can track users who visit web sites (with social plugin enabled) without users consciously know that they are being tracked (via traditional log-in to the web site), and could potentially share user’s web journey to his/her social graphs. Wondering how privacy will be managed then. Will see how this all plays out.
3. Note that for cnn, login/sign is no longer needed. Facebook manages your credentials, your user data and your social graphs. Is it a thread or opportunity for web user identity providers?
cnn.com, abc.com, engadget.com, etc… already made their web sites social-enabled.
